Sipping and Scheming

It's been a day of planning and scheming next moves at hd. I've had a couple of non-stop weeks and wanted to start my week with a fresh start. There's a cool cafe in Uptown Waterloo that specializes in espresso during the day and whiskey at night and the owner knows you by name. D.V.B.L.B. (Death Valley's Little Brother) is a place where hipsters and creatives go to hash through ideas with peers, close a deal or get caught up with friends. My assistant Samantha and I planned our week while sitting in comfy leather chairs and even introduced ourselves to a couple of business owners sitting at a neighbouring table. We found out they own a contracting business that shares similar work ethic, style and set of principles we do. It's important for me to continually build my business relationships to support my design firm as it evolves and grows. I rely on them as much as they rely on me. A good day is when these connections happen.
