The New American Home 2015 Tour

Touring The New American Home was one of the highlights of my Blog Tour Vegas trip. Arriving after sundown was a bonus, as you could see the exquisitely lit exterior and breathtaking view of the Las Vegas Strip beyond, highlighted by the starry night above. The connection between nature and design innovation continued in the interior with the open concept living and exterior vista seen from all the principal rooms throughout.

This particular home is part of the Sky Terrace community which will be the model for a collection of 36 production homes that design/build firm Blue Heron calls “pre-designed custom.” Part of the challenge given to the Blue Heron pros was to implement technology, sustainability and design trends and still keep costs down. NAH founder/owner Tyler Jones wanted to show off what can be done on a practical scale, even though it looks like an intricate custom home on an unlimited budget. To achieve this, design consultant Miguel Hutton from Blue Heron Interiors used off-the-shelf products and materials in innovative ways to suit a buyer who has discerning, sophisticated taste. photo via NAHB photo via NAHB photo via NAHB

Below is the master bedroom using gorgeous, durable Karastan carpets combined with Mohawk Clarett Hardwood in Graphite Oak. So beautiful to view in person!

I love the mix of  Walker Zanger products in the kitchen, bathroom, fireplaces and countertops throughout. Even the porcelain tile floor flowed to the outside for a seamless look.photo via NAHB

Featured are some exceptional products used throughout. One of them is Walker Zanger’s new TANGENT collection which offers 15 different mosaic patterns. Look at it here in the hallway fireplace, which transitions between entertaining areas on the main level.
